About
A lawyer and an engineer walk into a Pilates studio.
Okay, the lawyer and the engineer are the same guy. Hi, that’s me.
Before Pilates, I collected degrees the way some people collect sneakers. I studied industrial and systems engineering at the University of San Diego, earned my Engineer in Training credential, and picked up a Six Sigma Black Belt along the way. Then I went to law school and earned my Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law. Spreadsheets, statutes, systems. I understood how everything worked, except my own body.
Pilates is where that changed. It found me when I needed it most and kept teaching me things no classroom had: patience, precision, how to breathe, how to actually listen to the machine I live in. I liked it so much I went all in. I’m finishing my comprehensive certification, reformer, Cadillac, chair, and mat, at the end of October 2026, and I post the real work as I learn it. The good reps and the wobbly ones.
So what do you get when an engineer who also reads contracts teaches your session? Somebody who can tell you exactly what the springs are doing and why, who sweats the details, and who will never sell you a line. I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: honestly, carefully, and with a sense of humor about the hard parts.
Come move your bones with me.
